Is there any way to change your username? For example, my current username is xcjazzy and would like this changed. I have searched throughout the website and cannot find how to do so. Thanks in advance.
  • Of course it took Garmin two days to reply to a question when they don't want you to do something. But ask for an ETA on a feature and they give their typical no-response. Garmin should never have allowed the "@" character in a user name field in the first place (poor coding validation on their part) so that people could not use an email address for things that would or could be openly published on the Internet and associated with that address. I am always surprised that people have their email address as their user name out there when I go to Garmin Connect>Explore to look at activities in my area. I would disregard Garmin’s comment which is bumping up on 2 years old and go ahead and create a new account and import the activities into that new account. You don’t want or need your email address out there. I wouldn’t hold my breath on waiting for Garmin to implement this feature of user aliases. You'd think with a thread with as many views as this one, it would have been priority.

To marekkoznar, I would simply reset your watch back to factory settings, uninstall and reinstall the ANT agent, and recreate your new account, and then go through the steps of paring and setting up your web browser to authorize your new account. There’s probably an easier way, so hopefully someone will chime in, but this should work.

I tried this, but it won't let me pair my device with the new profile because the serial number was already registered to my old profile.

Looking at the age of this thread and the age of their empty promise to take care of this, Garmin has no credibility at all when they say they will allow alias use soon.
