Please add the feature that shows how much time was spent in each heart rate zone. I need this information in order to train properly. Thank you.

I agree, I really want this information. Considering writing my own code to do this I want it so bad.

Essential piece of analysis and well overdue!!!!

I'm having to download all my data twice. Once onto Connect and then onto Zone5 so I can find out time in each zone. This is a basic piece of analysis that isn't hard to program so why are we still waiting?
I posted a question directly to the helpdesk and they said that people from the development team read the posts - just a shame they cant be bothered to reply to them!
I've got a 310XT and it's a brilliant piece of kit - shame the enjoyment and usefulness is being reduced by such an easy to fix problem.

I'm disappointed that it is not a standard feature of the FR60. I would be satisfied to have this feature added to Garmin Connect.

I really hope Garmin see that this is a must to integrate if they want satisfied customers. To know the percentage spent in each zone is one of the main reasons to have a logbook for an athlete!

Clearly I am not an athlete!!

But that apart, that information is readily available in the Windoze version of Garmin Training Centre but not the Mac version.

    Otherwise RunSaturday or SportTracks
  • +1 (or really quite a few more, as I know several others who'd also want this).

I really find it puzzling that this isn't already an option.
Shouldn't be too much trouble in adding it to Garmin Connect.

Is Garmin really reading this site?

Training Center for Windows version 3.6.3 has the functionality.

Too bad what it displays is garbage and can't be utilized.

Well it took me awhile to figure out how to use that zone table in GTC. I use my 705 for running and finally figured out that, overall, on most of my training runs, faster avg speed generated higher avg HR. So I started looking at which avg speed generated which avg HR and by trial and error adjusted speed zone 2 to match HR zone 2, etc. for average training like some medium hills but mostly level.

Now if I go run a hilly trail and try to stay in speed zone 2, I would expect my HR to be in zone 3 or higher. The opposite would be a flat trail where I might be able to stay in speed zone 3 with my HR in zone 2. After looking at the gain and the zone table I can estimate if I am improving or not.

What I am looking for is making a run with higher gain while maintaining a higher speed zone with my HR in a lower zone. That would indicate that my fitness level is improving. Definitely not rocket science but still a good tool.

The point is without some matching of zones then like GERRYCAN said "it's garbage".
