It would be useful to be able to manually enter all the measures under Health on Garmin connect. At present the majority of them are only accessible if you have particular Tanita scales.
Me too. I've got a Tanita Innerscan which gives me all of these measurements and given the choice of typing them into the website or justifying spending a further $270 to the missus...I'd choose the former.
Oh and I can't think of any technical reason to disable manual entry (but I can think of a few marketing ones ;)
I thought I might find the answer on the forum!
I have a Tanita Ironman body-comp scale, with all of the measurements that the Garmin Connect HEALTH screen lists. It is not ANT compatible and will not upload to my 310xt.
Since you could manually enter the weight number in the HEALTH screen and chart them that way, I thought there must be a way to turn on the other measurements and chart them by manually entering them. I was going nuts trying to find out how to turn them on. :)
I thought it would be really shady if Garmin only let you upload this data via their specific ANT scales and watches. My current Tanita works great and I have no intention of buying these new ones (they do not even have a display on the scale!)
Garmin really should allow previous Tanita users to upload this data manually. I do not think anyone would go out and buy a new scale just for this feature.
I have a scale from OMRON which reports pretty much all of these values, and it would be really nice to integrate them into the Garmin Connect other statistics. Currently I have to keep them separately in a spreadsheet.
Would like to have this feature too... I periodically get Tanita results from my fitness centre and I would like to use these values in Garmin connect...
...
But I guess you need so sell scales and devices, don't you? ;)
