Manually enter Tanita measures

It would be useful to be able to manually enter all the measures under Health on Garmin connect. At present the majority of them are only accessible if you have particular Tanita scales.

    Manually enter data

I agree, would like to be able to manually enter alternative data such as BF% and BW%.
  • I have the BC1000 scale and I STILL can't use Health because I don't have one of two fitness watches. I have an Edge 705. Health should support manual entry and file imports from Healthy Edge. This "feature add" is really lame since it's hardly not functional.
  • Yeah, this has been pointed out numerous times by numerous users on this forum...what could be a great feature is rendered USELESS to all but the smallest subset of users!

Hard to imagine what exactly the fine folks at Garmin were thinking when it was designed this way. No logical explanation other then some shameless marketing deal with Tanita

Supposedly, changing this is "under consideration" but the GC Team claims "the fix" offers some mysterious unique challenges...the details of which I can't possibly imagine (seems pretty straight forward...allow manual entry) and Garmin (as so often is the case) has no desire to share specifics.

    So....
Long story short...add it to the "long" list of "possible" enhancements that may or may not be available at "some point" in the future!
  • What a shame!!

I have a Tanita body fat % scales with those exact outputs! I have the Tanita product, I can't see why they cant let me manually enter that data? :(

Surely, all you need to do is get a tcx file produced by someone that has the right devices, then edit it and upload it each time you want to enter a reading. It should be a 5 minute job.
  • I have to keep this data on a separate spreedsheet at the moment so +1 from me

I'm having to track the data from my Tanita Ironman monitor via a spreadsheet, too. I'd love to be able to just enter it manually here.

Any chance of this happening, please?

Just adding my +1 in hopes it will help get this features added.

    ** bump **

As far as I know, the BC-1000 isn't available in Australia yet so we really need a way to manually enter these measures ... please.
  • +1 for me too please. As MLNEWMAN1 mentioned, the BC-1000 doesn't appear to be available in Australia. Plus I already have a BC-541 which provides the same info.
