Coiled Car Charger for Colorado

I am looking for a short coiled charger cable for the automobile to fit Colorado. (Like for a cell phone)
It appears Garmin does not make one.
Does anyone know of a cell phone charger that works? I've tried Blackberry and Motorola brand chargers and the GPS thinks its hooked up to the computer. Thanks

Firstly, the units do not charge when hooked to power. The USB simply provides power instead of the batteries.

Secondly, change the setup to "spanner" mode. This will allow you to use any USB cable to POWER the unit.
