Gulf of America!!! Really Garmin??

I have seen that Google and Apple now show Gulf of Mexico and Gulf of America in brackets.
But Garmin goes too far, because it only shows Gulf of America. This is not acceptable to me, as only Gulf of Mexico is internationally recognized. I find it shameful that Garmin is submitting to the Trump doctrine here. I am considering selling my watch and maybe switching to Suunto if this is not corrected.

    That is a Google map, not Garmin map. In Garmin Connect Web, you can chose between Google Maps, HERE, and OpenStreetMap. Both HERE and OpenStreetMap show "Gulf of Mexico", so just chose that if you do not like what Google Maps show.

    Ok but why does Garmin Connect only show Gulf of America if its Google Maps? Because when I open Google Maps, then it shows Gulf of Mexico and Gulf of America only in brackets, also now I learned that Garmin donated to the Trump campain and only to the Trump campain, not like other who donated to both. So now I am not sure if I want to support a company who supports Trump. Because If I knew that one of my friend is a Trump fan then it was a friend.

    Most likely because Google decides the content based on the owner of the API key, and since the API key belongs to a US based corporation, they deliver US-approved content.
