Hi Everyone - Finally Decided to Join

I have been a GPS user for 10 years, and finally decided to get on this forum.
I have a question that I hope one of you seasoned users may help me with.
I emailed Garmin support and asked if I could install my US Roads and Recreation on my Nuvi 260W. This was his reply:
Thank you for contacting Garmin International.

You will be able to see the original maps and your unit will route using the original maps.

The Nuvi 260W has an SD card slot on the left side of the device.

I loaded my maps onto my SD card and inserted into 260W, but it does not show up on my screen. Do I have to do some sort of change to prompt it?

Welcome to the forums. I'm fairly certain someone might be able to answer your question soon, but do keep in mind the following:

- It is the weekend.
- I'm hoping people are out running and riding
- These forums are primarily for the fitness-level of Garmin devices, although there has been a lot more Nuvi support here lately, you'll have to be a little patient.
