Manual Input of (More) Health Data

Former Member
Former Member
I just read the entire thread about the Tanita scale users asking for the ability to manually input all of the other health data in the health tab other than just the weight.

I also note that just as many users have added their support for this feature, as do I, I also respect that our request for this feature has been heard, is under consideration, and will hopefully be added hastily.

In order to refrain from "beating a dead horse", I would like to ask if there is a way that I can be notified automatically (say via email) or if there is a very specific place where I can occasionally check in to see if and when this feature request has been approved, added, or plan on being added or released for use.

I also support this, but as temporary solution I would like to know if there is any manual workaround like making my own .FIT file to upload.
Is there any api or spec for the FIT files, so I can do the rest myself.
It looks like it is some form of binay file, but I don't have enough information to handle it.

My suggestion is to find a service that will watch the What's New page at Garmin Connect.

    http://connect.garmin.com/help/whatsnew

This will let you know what has been released and what's coming up.
