Ski mountaineering activities cannot be cut

It is not possible to cut a Ski Mountaineering activity for example if you forgot to end it at the right time, as happens with running or hiking activities.
For me it is a BUG, ​​there is no sensible explanation why it is not possible to proceed with the cut.
In the screenshot you can see the track in green and the path to cut in red. This compromises the overall analysis of the activity.

    I cannot help you with fixing the missing option (I recommend suggesting it to Garmin at Share Ideas | Garmin), but I can offer you a workaround: in Garmin Connect, temporarily change the activity type to Running or Cycling, trim it so, and then change the activity type back to the original. No worry, you won't lose any metrics, and additionally the operation is fully reversible - in case of need, you can always fully restore the original activity.

    Thanks for the reply. I actually thought about "changing activity" to cut it but I knew I would lose data. I just tried the great workaround you suggested and it works.
