Gaemin Greg half marathon coaching

Dear Garmin community,

I am doing my first half marathon in 7 weeks. I was using coach Greg programme. Unfortunately I have deleted it at 6 weeks. Please can someone who has completed the plan to half marathon, post here the last 6/7 weeks of the plan? It will help me to so carry on following it rather than starting a new programme, which wont finish in time fir tge race date. I know plans are personalised to some extent, but I can adapt if I know when the long runs, stride repeats are and how they increase over the weeks. I dont want to switch to any other random running plan from the net.

Many thanks.

Deb

The plan is adaptive, which means different for everyone.

  • Thank you Teux,

Yes, I know it is adaptive based on the individual performance.

But, there has to be a framework / pattern, like what are the workouts each week, how often the long runs are and what is the maximum distance of the long run before the event day ect.

If you have done it and willing to share just the workouts (not the individual performance data), I shall be greatful.

Before deleting, on week 7 my schedule was, two easy runs of 50 min followed by long run of 1 hr 30 min.

    Best regards

  • No, it isn't.
Adaptive means have some initial assessments (number of days, typical weekly distance you do, typical pace, target distance and target pace) but after you start it adopts to your current results and more importantly to your current shape.
Using somebody else plans just will not work for you.
What I could suggest you, set race event in your calendar and instead of Coach plan start to use Daily Suggested Workouts.
