Hardware A+, Software C-

Problem: Running inside on a treadmill or indoor track with Garmin 405 without footpod does not allow you to record the approximate distance run within Garmin Connect. Many of us do not always run outside, especially in winter, nor want to bother with an additional footpod device. Yet we want our logs to reflect the miles we put in.

Secondary Problem: Garmin Connect is not runner optimized. Or probably cycling or swimming optimized - my guess.

Proposed Solution: Augment Garmin connect with basic edit capability for *every* field. (I understand this has been in the works for quite some time. This is technically simple and should not be held up for release. This could be a major customer sat win for Garmin)

Secondary Proposed Solution: Enable rudimentary running log capability such as found on Runner's World web site or many others. How about tracking shoe mileage? What about recording temperature? Workout type? How about user defined fields? Again, for the basics, not much software development effort required.

To summarize:
- Garmin Hardware A+
- Garmin Software C-.

Software is 80% of the experience - low hanging fruit for Garmin.

Appreciative Garmin 405 fan.
Thanks.
