Hi, I know this has been brought up before. Over a year ago go. Since upgrading to a vivoactive 5 for the wheelchair function. I’ve now lost the ability to take part in monthly challenges. They appear of I take it out of wheelchair mode. I find this pretty poor, just because I’m in a chair I attend the gym and yoga weekly. But now my pushed don’t count to the expedition challenges or step challenges. I know most chair users will agree. Pushing is way harder than walking. Why are we being left out of the challenges?
You’re not telling me the code would be that hard to write to incorporate wheelchair users. Or have I just wasted £250 on a new watch ? Whoever worked out the calories is way off as well. I do a lot of Skierg work. Some fixed calorie HIIT sessions. If I do a 100 cals on the Skierg. According to the Garmin I’ve only done 70. That’s a big difference if your matching calorie output to food intake each time. I’m pretty sure I burnt more than 900 cals on a 26k push at the weekend too. Sorry this is a long rant. But if Garmin are selling watches with wheelchair function. Please use active people in wheelchairs involved in the development. In the meantime. Can you get the code sorted for the challenges at least so we’re not alienated on the connect app ?
