edge 800 does not sync the data to pc using G Express

Device is seen and recognized in Express but when I try to sync it it fails part way through the process and comes up with an error message "there was an error syncing with Garmin Connect. The device is seen because it checks the software is up to date on the device and the sync process does seem to start

    Then there is a problem with the file. Attach it to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.

    • Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
    • Or upload the fit file to a reputable file sharing service, such as OneDriveGoogle DriveDropbox, make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.
  • According to this, we must all suddenly have "faulty files".

    My Edge 800 does the exact same thing as is described here! Last update of Express broke the ability to sync with Connect. I can upload .fit files from my 800 direct to Strava and they open perfectly. Have an old version of Training Center and the files sync & open perfectly. On an older laptop I have an un-updated Express 7.19.0.0 and the Edge syncs perfectly with this & Connect.

    Conclusion.....update 7.24.0.0 has broken the link between Garmin Edge 800 and Connect.

    Hopefully the next update will fix this!!
