Filtering By Course Name in Garmin Connect Web Gone!?!?!

Hey, Garmin!!! Are you seriously kidding me?!?!?

So you can't filter your courses by name???? That is the most BASIC bit of functionality you could ask for, and you guys yank it and go totally silent when people are clamoring for this?? This has been an issue for years, and you just totally ignore your user base?

This is by far one of the biggest disappointments I've seen from you people, and yes - there have been a few.

Do you or do you not plan on implementing something so simple?

Unreal...

  • You can filter by course name in Garmin Connect Web. I assume that's what you're referring to, since you're on the Garmin Connect Web subforum.

  • Actually, you can't. I have several courses (5) prefixed with the letters EDGG. When searching for those routes, the results still return every single route.

  • Unless something recently changed, like today. I've been able to do this. Let me check again.

  • Still works for me. To be clear, I took some screen shots.

    Click the Filters button

Enter the text you want to filter in the Course Name Text box

Click Filter Courses button near the bottom of the screen.

I filtered for BCG and came up with this.

  • Hey...my bad! So you can...the search box renders really crappy in Chrome so you don't see the "Apply" button at all. You have to shrink your screen down to 80% to view the entire search dialog.

    Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, what do you get if you visit the following site at the same zoom / window size that you normally visit Connect with?

    https://whatismyviewport.com/

(This site basically tells you the logical resolution of your browser window, which is a function of your device's physical resolution, desktop scaling settings, and browser window size)

    On my laptop, I get 2004 × 1198.

I don't see a problem with the Filter Courses button not being rendered unless I adjust zoom so that my viewport is 801 × 479 (250% zoom), but it's very hard to use Connect at that resolution. At lower zoom levels, the Filter Courses button may be hidden, but I can always scroll to it.

If you're seeing the problem at a reasonable viewport size (say 1280 x 768 or larger), I'd say it might be a bug worth reporting.
