Can't upload from TC to Garmin Connect

I have been trying to export my data from TC and upload it for a while now. For the last 3 days I haven't been able to upload anything after successfully doing so for a week or so. I keep getting the "An error occurred with your upload. Please try again" message. I am using IE8 on Vista and have put Garmin.com into my trusted sites list as instructed. Any one have any ideas? Is there a maximum data size in GC?

    I exported and saved the history file from TC. I've attached the file. There are actually a couple of files that I have been unsuccessful in uploading to GC.

    Actually I tried to attach it but received the message: "Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing...". DDoes sizze matter? IIt assa rather large file - 6 MB

    Can you "zip" the file and then upload the zip file?

    I meant to say to attach the zip file to a message here (you can't upload the zip file to GC).

    Well, there must be some other problem. The zipped file size is only 2600 kb but I keep getting the message "Upload Error" - "upload of file failed". Whatever it is may be the same reason that I'm unable to upload to GC...

    I don't know why you can't attach the file to a message on this forum but whatever the reason, I'm sure it's not related to the problem of uploading the file to GC. I sent you a private message with my email address, so you can send me the file as an email attachment.

    Just checked my private messages. There's nothing there.

    Check at the top of this screen at the top and you should be able to see my message by clicking on the Private Messsages link.
  • I tried uploading this file to GC and also got the same error.
    I looked at the file and saw this (near the bottom of the file):
    <Creator xsi:type="Device_t">
    <Name></Name>
    <UnitId>3312721930</UnitId>
    <ProductID>450</ProductID>

    I change it to this:
    <Creator xsi:type="Device_t">
    <Name>EDGE705</Name>
    <UnitId>3312721930</UnitId>
    <ProductID>450</ProductID>

    After this I was able to successfully upload the file.

    It looks like GC does not like files with un-named devices.

    This worked for me too, I used EDGE305 instead as that's what the files came from. Apparently TC isn't putting this value in the exported files and MB doesn't like it. These files were exported from version 3.4.5 which the updater says is the current version.

    I've tried this with my failing TCXs, and it still doesn't work. I even tried it with the file linked in this thread, and it STILL doesn't work. Any ideas?

    Very very annoying, disappointed with Garmin for not giving us any apparent support on this clearly common issue!
