Missing Chinese New Year's Eve 2025 badge

Yesterday I had a problem with the boot loop triangle, like many of us. I did get the Chinese New Year's Eve 2025 badge, but while setting up the watch I deleted one test workout, then did a normal workout which remained saved in GC, but the badge no longer appeared.

Web Connect even still shows a notification that I've earned the badge, but it's actually missing. This is only a notification.

Is there any way to get the Chinese New Year's Eve 2025 badge back?

  • For future reference. If you like such Badges related to date, you just need to start any activity eg Walk for literally 2 second and save it.

You will be granted with respective Badge. And do not delete this activity as you will loose badge. I am afraid right now only Garmin could help you, but I guess this is very low priority for them.

  • Garmin Czech Republic has already told me that it's not possible to get the badge back... I will not comment on this.

  • By any chance you are going to Half Marathon in Prague on April 5th? You can reply in PM not here

  • No, I'm not running the Prague Halmarathon. My goal is to outdo myself, not others. It's kind of my motto.

More to the point. I noticed that the training is still stored in the watch. But it doesn't seem to be uploading to GC again. At least not from the watch menu.

Would anyone know how to upload the workout to the GC again please?

  • If you open workout in calendar (I did this on Web site) then you have reschedule option. Simply Save without change anything allow me to have those manually created workouts again on Watch.

Hope this is what you are looking for.

If you are talking about Garmin Coach plans then if you are not on beta SW then I have no idea. On beta what can help you is to enable and disable Supplemental Strength workouts. It helped me

  • Thank you very much for your help, but I didn't understand the context at all.

Anyway, I've written to Garmin support to see if it's possible to recover deleted activity from the GC when it's still stored in the watch, so we'll see what they write.

  • If you still have it on your watch, connect to PC, find file with this workout (I don't remember where all activities are stored but you should find it), download to PC, and manually add it using Garmin Connect WEB.
    It should work.

  • So in the end, all I had to do was connect my watch via Garmin Express and the workout loaded itself from the watch to GC and I received my badge. I guess if I want to keep the badge, I shouldn't delete the workout, even if it doesn't contain any training data.

    Thanks for the advice everyone!
