memory full - no automatic overwrite

Yesterday I did a 54K bike training, but after 24K the memory was full. I did not want to stop and work on my Forerunner 405 to erase old data manually. When I downloaded the data later to GC, only a 24K workout is shown. In the Player the complete result is shown. But I want to automatically overwrite old data, and most of all, I want to have GC count all 54K I did. Can I repair this?

Sounds like your lap data was full. When the trackpoints are full, the unit will overwrite the older trackpoints. But when you reach the lap limit, you have to choose which to delete.

The easiest thing to do in the field is to Delete Old Activities which will delete lap, summary and trackpoint data for anything older than 30 days.

It looks like your unit did continue to record trackpoints, but the laps stop and thus the overall summary is incorrect.

I've attached the TCX file for your activity. I sorta fixed it, but the way I did it lost your splits.

I ran it through TCX Converter to remove the lap data and then edited the summary data in the XML with a text editor to reflect the entire ride distance and time.

As a side, I clear my history on my Edge bi-weekly just to ensure this never happens.

Thanks a lot. It is clear to me how to handle this next time. Thanks for your efforts!
