.tcx and .tcx.html

I have been using a 310XT and Connect to export the files to .tcx and then importing them into a 3rd party piece of software. However today the export function insists on producing a .tcx.html file which is useless. I havent changed any settings, any ideas how to get it back to a .tcx file?
  • Is the tcx.html file a valid html file or XML? It may be a simple matter of renaming the file.

It doesnt appear to be a valid html file, if i try to open it I get the below message. If i try to rename it without the html it wont do anything and the file size is way to small to have any significant data in (2kb)

Looks like an error with that particular activity. Are you having the same error with other activities?

Can you post a link to the activity that won't export?

    This is the run

I have done another one this evening and it seems to export fine. Is there another way of getting that file (if it is corrupted) into either Excel or .tcx, I use Ascent for on my Mac?

To get the export from Garmin Connect, you can contact support directly.

In the meantime, you might want to check your Mac for the TCX file created by Ant Agent.

  • That's definitely the error message. That should be reported as a Garmin Connect issue.
