Could be a variety of issues. First we need some information. What operating system are you using? What Internet browser? What version of Garmin Communicator plugin? What version of ANT Agent? Thanks.
Hi guys,
I have exactly the same problem, My 310XT stopped loading his activity from Sept 12th without any reason, the device says it is transferring data but actually the new activities are not transferred. I tried to install again the ANT agent, still the same problem... activities are listed in the device but not transferred. if i do an upload from the site teh activities are not listed....don't know what to do.................
any help appreciated
Ant Agent 2.2.7
Garmin Communicator (gStart) 2.3.1
Windows Vista
Firefox 3.5.3
All data through Sept 8th uploaded fine. Now unable to upload since the 8th. Keep getting last transfer failed. There are 5 activities on the device not uploaded.
Ant Agent 2.2.7 Garmin Communicator (gStart) 2.3.1
The latest communicator is version 2.8.1. So download that and try again. Have you tried sending activities to Training Center? Also, check your ANT Agent folder for history files. C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\GARMIN\Devices\device_number\History. You can try a manual upload of one of those files to see if you can upload that way.
Thank you for the response. I downloaded the new communicator. No luck in fixing the issue. There are no files to try and manually upload. The Garmin tries to transfer and shows transferring data for about 2 seconds and then stops. So the data is not getting transferred to the PC at all.
So it is not pairing with your device at all. Is your ANT Stick active? right click on ANT Agent in the system tray and select open. If the stick is connected, it should say "Connection Status: USB ANT stick: Active." If so, then when you have the 310xt powered on or on its charger and within range of the stick, you should see communication happening. If not, you may need to repair with the device. On your watch select settings> system> data transfer> yes. On the ANT Agent select "Pair with new devices enabled." You should then see a message "Device no. detected. Would you like to pair with this device."
In Windows Vista go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features and uninstall Garmin ANT Agent Go to C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\GARMIN\Devices. Move the Device ID folder to another location. Remove the stick from the computer Reboot your computer Download the latest version of Garmin ANT Agent and install it Don't insert the stick until prompted to Try the pairing method again as stated above.
Ok, did all of that. No luck. I then went and installed Communicator and the Ant Agent on another computer and no luck. So, either the stick is not working or the device is not working (sending) the data.
