- Virtual competition. maybe this is possible already. It would be cool to download someone else's route and race them as a virtual training partner.

- A lot more on the social side. I'm sure it would be easy to get virtual races, milage challenges etc. going?

You can do this by find an activity and choosing "Send to Device" from that activity page.

Nice to know, but how did you figure that out? I would have never thought it would work or even try downloading somebody's data.

This ability needs to be advertised somehow.

Also, The vitrual challanges need to be incorporated into the connect website somehow. Maybe a page with a list of challenges people can join and see the results.

    From the FAQ

How do I send an activity to my device?

Find any Public activity and send the course to your device:

    1. Find an activity you want to follow as a course.
    2. Pull up that activity's Details page.
    3. Attach your device to the USB cable (wireless device users make sure the ANT stick is plugged in).
    3. Click Send to Device.

    Have a look at www.RunSaturday.com
  • Thanks for the info but it would be nice to have a community option on my garmin page itself so I don't have to go to multiple pages. When I used the Nike+ site before getting my garmin it was very easy to challenge my brother and others who don't live near by.

    Challenges

    Yes,
We need a place where we can create and join challenges. Once a person joins a challenge it should be easy to see where the person stands.

Personally I would like my challenge status on the "Dashboard" showing where I stand in the challenge.
