Active calories incorrect?venu 3 edge 840

Wondering why there is a difference in the active calories shown on my watch and in Garmin connect vs. the active calories shown in a workouts from the watch and from the edge 830. For example, I record a walk and a strength workout that combined show 800 active calories. In the connect app and on the watch the active calories are typically a lot lower. Another example is today I recorded a walk on the Venu 3 showing 178 active calories and a bike ride on my Edge 830 that shows 1216 active calories totaling 1394 active calories. On the Connect app and on my watch it only shows 954 active calories. Any ideas?

Activities show the Total Calories (Resting + Active), unless you look at the detailed Stats tab of the concerned activity where you can see all of those values listed separately.

If you wear your your Primary Wearable Device (the watch) while riding, the Calories detected by the PWD take priority over any other device. If you want to see the same calories as from Edge in the totals, either do not keep the watch on the wrist, or connect the HRM strap to the watch too and record the activity with it.
