Garmin Connect into Garmin Training Centre

I've been using Garmin Connect for a while now and all my runs are stored there. I have just installed Garmin Training Centre and would like to get all my runs from Garmin Connect to Garmin Training Centre. The only option I can see is a very painful and slow one where I would have to go into each activity in GC and export the tcx file and then import them into GTC. Please tell me there is another way, I have over 700 activities:( Oh, and they are not stored on my PC anywhere either.
  • I've not seen a way. MB didn't do that function well, either. It allowed a bulk export, but merged everything into one file. Well I don't want that, so it's a manual download of every activity individually.
  • I too am looking to export all of my 'connect' runs.... any update on this?

    thanks

I read that when you do not have Training Center installed on your computer the ANT agent will store your tracks in a folder (possibly hidden) on your hard drive before sending it on to GC. Get the exact name of a track stored in GC and do a search of your hard drive. If you find it the rest will be in the same folder.

I think the GC site is a big mess but that will be a rant for later.

See this post for the location of where your TCX files are stored on your computer. Afraid that only the last month's worth are kept there though, so if you have over 700 activities it is likely you won't have them all there. Depending on what device you are using it is also possible you might be able to get more activities (or at least summary data) from the unit. For ANT+ units you might also tray a force send which will resend all activities stored on your device.

Depending on what OS you use there are some popular alternatives, but I don't know of any free web-based service similar to GC. You might check out SportTracks for PC or Ascent for Mac as an alternative to GTC.
  • maybe I'll try 'mapmyrun dot com'
  • RunSaturday is a great on-line social sports tracking and data analysis website. It's not similar to GC as it has so much more in the way of functionality.
