Fit file will not upload in Garmin Connect but it works on Strava

Hi!

This past weekend I ran a 100k race. Unfortunately, my watch died mile 61.6 (I know!) and now shows as an Invalid file on the watch.

I was able to download it and repair it using Fit File Tools. when I analyze the segments, all looks good. Also the file loaded on Strava with no issues, but Garmin Connect doesn't want to accept it. " "One of your files was not accepted by the system. Please contact Support for assistance.""

I even downloaded the FIT file from Strava and still Garmin doesn't want to accept it.

Any ideas?

Attach it to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a reputable file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.

Fixed using Fit File Repair Tool, which repaired this issue:

The recording ended abruptly and without the expected summary records. Probably data records at the end of the recording are missing.

There have been quite a few issues with corrupt files with v19.41, so keep an eye out for the next firmware update. Meanwhile I would make sure you've synced everything, then clear out your activities on the watch using these directions - Removing Recorded Activities on a Garmin Fitness Device
