My Venu3s and Epix 2 multiple device sync issues

My Venu3s is showing a run from yesterday of 5kms but my step count is zero. It is not my primary wearable and I think it has taken the steps from my Epix 2 which has zero steps for the day as I didnt wear it. Does this sound right? How do I make sure that all step data is combined.

When you do not wear the PWD, the steps come from the watch you wear. Normally, all you need to do is syncing both devices. If it does not work for you, then you can Remove and Add both devices From the Garmin Connect App | Garmin Customer Support, then log a few minutes of steps on the secondary device (while not having the PWD on the wrist!), and see whether it helped (it won't restore yesterday's steps, though).
