Where does it say that the weight can be synchronized from MFP to Garmon? Isn't it just a synchronization in the other direction? Garmin to MF

According to different posts it should be possible to sync from MFP to Garmin and it has worked occassionally in the past. But it seems more people are having trouble with that. I'm now also searching if there are other means of getting the weight imported in GC. The workaround now is entering it manually but that's not what I want actually.

It indeed works in both directions, and always did. I just retested it right now - I entered the weight at MFP (https://www.myfitnesspal.com/measurements/check-in), and the new weight instantly appeared in Garmin Connect.

If it does not work for some reason, then I would try clicking the Sync button on the Calories In/Out page of Garmin Connect Web. In my case it was not necessary, and as far as I remember it never failed in the last 7 years or so (though I do not use it regularly in the last time). In case of continuing problems I recommend contacting the Support at MFP and Garmin.

I'm also syncing my weight from Withings to MFP to Garmin. Lately this has worked really erratically. Today it didn't sync, yesterday it did, two days were ok before that, but before that a failure... I haven't been able to figure any pattern in when it works and when it doesn't.

For me, this has always been somewhat erratic. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Renewing the link between the 2 sites often fixes it. These days, it's easiest for me to simply enter the weight manually.

What I have found lately though is that when I go to the manual input page in the android app, the weight coming out of MFP is already there but just not appearing on the home page. It's as if the data transferred, but it was waiting for someone to manually confirm it.

Entering manually might be indeed the easiest. It's just that in my weight-overview the values aren't there. O well, I won't bother with it too much. But hoped that after a few years it would be finally working as designed but still unfortunately not. MFP gets 'all' info from GC though.

I have the same issue. I spent a few weeks exchanging emails with both MFP and Garmin technical support last year but neither team was prepared to acknowledge that it was their problem and neither team was prepared to talk to the other to resolve it. So, in the end, I gave up and now use https://smartscalesync.com/ which works flawlessly.

To me, it's not enough of a hassle to have to pay for this.

After participating in this discussion and having constant weight sync problems lately, I finally decided to abandon MyFitnessPal for weight syncing (or actually not-syncing).

I have a Withings scale and I'm an IT person, so I downloaded Withings-Sync (https://github.com/jaroslawhartman/withings-sync) and configured my network drive server to sync my weight from Withings directly to Garmin once a day.

Thanks for reminding me, this is something I've thought about doing for some time.

True, I appreciate the efforts of the programmer but about 20 bucks a year would be after a bunch of years equivalent than the price of a Garmin scale.
