Forerunner 50 - Data does not appear in dashboard

Hi guys - I have been using my Forerunner for 9 months and downloading data to the dashboard without any difficulty. Suddenly I am now having difficulty with this operation. The watch sends the info to the USB stick - the icon in bottom right of the screen becomes active, and then the watch deletes the information. However the new information does not appear on the dashboard. I have deleted some old data thinking the store might be full but that doesn't help.

Very frustrating - I did a great run this evening and it's disappeared into the ether!:mad:

Anyone else had this and sorted it out??

The data should be in your ANT Agent folder. If you want to check, look in
C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\GARMIN\Devices\device_id (in Windows 7/Vista). If need be, you can manually upload the data to Garmin Connect.

Check that you have the latest version of Garmin Communicator. Currently version 2.8.1 if using Windows.

What file format is the data stored in? i.e what is the three letter file extension? .dll? .dat?

They will be .tcx files in the history folder.
