Oh, yes, and I would like to delete laps from the unit before uploading. Sometimes I play with it, test something here or there and I may have 2 or 3 activities of 30 -40 seconds that are not really anything. The only way to delete on the wrist unit is to delete all, keep 1 month or keep 3 months.
Unless someone knows something I don't know - which is highly probable.
You should be able to delete individual activities on the watch. I forget the exact sequence of buttons, but go to history, view the individual activity you want to delete, and from there you should be able to delete that activity.
However, you can't delete an unwanted lap from the watch or from GC, which I believe is what the OP wanted. I agree that that would be a great feature.
If someone could figure this out and let me know, I sure would appreciate it. I have gone to the unwanted activity but nothing obvious came up to suggest that I could delete and only it from the wrist unit.
history > (choose activity type) > by day > (choose activity) > view laps? > (select lap) > delete entire run? > yes
You can use this sequence to delete an unwanted lap from an activity on your device. At the select lap step, select the lap you want to delete, then you have the option to delete just that lap.
That provides a work-around for the OP. Delete the activity from Garmin Connect, delete the unwanted lap from the activity on the device, then upload the activity again. The problem I've seen with this is that the map still shows the unwanted lap, but at least the activity data is correct.
