When I subscribe to a thread, and select "instant email notification" I still don't seem to get the notice. I've check my spam folder, and there's nothing from garmin. My email address on mygarmin.com is correct, and I assume that's what is being used here. Any clue what I might try next?
I sent you a message via email through the forum system. Reply to that when you receive it.
Nope nothing.
Select User CP from the top left of the forum page and then choose Edit Options on the left. You can then see in my screen shot the option you need to select. Looking on the admin pages you've currently got No Notifications selected but for some reason I am unable to change this for you.
Give it a go and let me know if it works or not.
Though I don't have that box checked, it is because I do not wish to subscribe to EVERY thread I post in. When I want to subscribe, I check the box for that particular thread. When I go into my CP, I have several threads listed as subscribed, and every one of them is listed as "instant email notification." This is the same way I use every other forum that runs this software. For grins, I will go and check that box though to see if it makes any difference for me.
You are not alone. I don't get any email notifications as well.
Tried everything to no available: my local spam filter, my providers spam filter. Just nothing comes in :(
Interesting. Yes, I've even changed my email to one that I have complete control over. The messages are simply not coming in to my mail server.

Nope. Nothing is hitting my mail server.
I'm an administrator on some other boards and list serves, and I get complaints of no email somewhat regularly. 90% of the time the message is stuck in a spam filter and we usually get it resolved somewhat quickly. That's not the case here. I can see everything that hits my server, and nothing from garmin is coming in.
Thanks for the help here though guys! Sounds like I'm not alone, so this is something that likely needs to be sorted.
Not only am I subscribed to this (and a couple other) threads with instant email notification, but I've also now checked the box to force subscription (and notification) to any thread I post in. Something I don't really want to happen, but if it works, we at least have more data.

Thanks for chiming in. No clue what might be happening unless there's some blacklist issue going on. Haven't had one of those in a while, so we're probably due. :)
So does the Moderator/Admin try to help us out of this situation?
Any hints? I checked everything on my mail server to let these very important messages from this board through to my mailbox.

I typically do not subscribe to threads. However, I've subscribed to this one for troubleshooting purposes. Hope I can help.
Thanks Seilogramp. I'll post so you'll be notified. MOST people are getting notifications, it seems, so I expect you'll get it. Some of us seem to be left out in the cold though. Not sure what the common link might be. Frustrating - especially on a board like this that I don't visit every day.
For the record, I've never gotten a subscription alert since this board's inception. Worked fine on the MotionBased board, and works fine on the 15 other boards that I frequent - most of which use this same forum software.
I have tried three different email addresses (changed in MyGarmin) that are on three different servers. The notification mails have not made it to any of these three servers.
I'm usually the one who offers suggestions on how to solve this, and now I'm more than willing to accept suggestions!
