When I subscribe to a thread, and select "instant email notification" I still don't seem to get the notice. I've check my spam folder, and there's nothing from garmin. My email address on mygarmin.com is correct, and I assume that's what is being used here. Any clue what I might try next?
I've had a quick look and it appears you haven't selected to receive Email notifications in your Profile. You can manually set it each time you post by using the thread tools at the bottom of the page when you type the reply, there will be a section 'Additional Options' in here is a 'Thread Subscription' option where you can choose the option you require.
Please tell me where this is set? I've been through my UserCP several times, and see no checkbox.

This thread (along with all my others) shows up in my subscribed threads list in my profile, and it shows instant email notification for every one on the list - yet I get no notices. I'm by no means a forum newbie... but I'm obviously missing something. If I follow you're post, you're saying that I can choose this email notification option... and that's exactly what I've been doing.
Where do I "select to recieve email notifications in my profile?" I have my default as "no notification" but I choose the threads manually that I'd like to subscribe to, and choose, "instant notification" for those.

But no love. Not only have I NOT been notified that you posted, but I also don't see it in the spam folder. Dunno. Works on all my other forums... just has never worked here. I tried tossing all my garmin cookies earlier today too. Still no luck.
Did the post from UKactionsports make sense to anybody else? I can't figure out what was suggested there that I haven't already done. I'm subscribed to this and several other threads with instant email notification. The only thing I can think of is that this forum is NOT using the same email as mygarmin.com. I originally signed up on Garmin with an address that I no longer use. I have the proper one on Garmin.com now, but have no way of knowing if that new address has properly transferred to this forum as it was supposed to.
Select User CP from the top left of the forum page and then choose Edit Options on the left. You can then see in my screen shot the option you need to select. Looking on the admin pages you've currently got No Notifications selected but for some reason I am unable to change this for you.
I've also checked and the email address you're using for this forum and your myGarmin account are the same. Feel free to PM me with your myGarmin username so I can double check it's the correct one.
Any help at all here? Still no emails coming, and I'm still confused as to what was suggested.
You are not alone. I don't get any email notifications as well.
Tried everything to no available: my local spam filter, my providers spam filter. Just nothing comes in :(
