Download Rock Climbing Stats

Joining a 1000 Route Challenge at my rock climbing gym this year.

I religiously track my routes, grades, sends, attempts, and completions using the watch app.

Is there a way to download all your Garmin stats so I don't have to use their tracking app simultaneously?

  • The full dump of data that was synced to the cloud with Garmin Express or Garmin Connect can be requested at Garmin | Account | Export Your Data

And if you do not want to use the Express or Connect app at all, you can download the data directly from the watch. Activity files are in the folder //GARMIN/Activity/, and there are many various folders with other metrics. All of the data is stored in the FIT file format. You can find the description of that format at FIT SDK | Garmin Developers. Some useful apps and libraries are listed for example here: Downloads - THIS IS ANT. For quick viewing of the FIT files, the web service FIT File Viewer may be useful.

  • Probably easier to take screenshots of all activities and feed them to an AI for evaluation.

  • Thanks - I managed to find where I can download all my Indoor Rock Climbing "activities" from Garmin Connect on a PC web browser. This at least gives me a session-by-session list.

Problem is, the only way to download the "details" (i.e. every climb, grade, attempt/fails/sends) is to export each activity individually.

Doesn't seem like there's a way to download every climb detail for a given date period. Guess the only way is to submit the Account Export request?
