How to upload a deleted activity from Garmin Connect

Finished a ride this morning using my Garmin 1040. The ride immediately uploaded to garmin connected but failed to also show up on strava. I waited several hours with no luck. I decided to start another ride and immediately stopped recording and saved the ride. This immediately went to garmin connect and then strava via the garmin connect app. I tried to manually export the file from the earlier rise to strava but it would not take it. Said the file did not have enough information for processing.

My next idea was to delete the ride from Garmin Connect, with the thought that when my 1040 re-synched with my phone it would re upload. That did not happen.

How to I send an activity back to garmin connect from my 1040 that was previously deleted from garmin connect?

Import it manually.

I don’t have a computer, is this the only way?

You have to be able to view the file system on your Edge 1040. If you have an android phone, you might be able to do it with the appropriate USB cable. Then use the web browser on the phone to upload to Garmin Connect Web.

So, you could import that file back to Garmin Connect. If you get an error too, zip the file and post the zip file here (use the Insert Video/Image/File function for that purpose).

If not, use any computer (friend, family, job, school, public,...) to access the file on your Edge. You do not need to install any software, so any computer with an USB port should work.
