276C connection to PC

I installed my software on my new pc and MapSource is working okay. However, my pc will not recognize the GPS when I plug it in therefore I can not send new routes to the GPS from the computer.

I had this same problem several years ago on my old computer when I first purchased the 276C. I can't remember what I did to have the PC recognize the GPS. There is nothing else plug into the USB port other than the mouse so there is not a sharing problem of a port.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Found the problem. I had tried two other USB ports on my lap top but had the same issue. I plug the mouse into another port and the GPS into the port the mouse was using and it worked. No more problems.
