Garmin Connect report fewer total kilometers traveled with each passing day

Why does Garmin Connect report fewer total kilometers traveled with each passing day, but otherwise it reports my riding for the day correctly? For example, yesterday I had a total riding since the beginning of the year of 3982 km., Today I rode 7.5 km. and it reports 3967 km. since the beginning of the year. The total elevation gain for the year also drops. I use a Garmin Edge Explorer 2, I also have a watch Fenix 7s Pro, but I don't turn it on to count when I ride a bike.

  • Which report are you looking at?

Most reports by Garmin use sliding windows. Each day 1 day will be added and one day removed. So the 1 year reports are for the past 365 days. Not the calendar year.

To view the report for the full year you should use the Progress summary report: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/progress-summary

  • Quite confusing, because it says the last 12 months and shows from January to the present. I look at the homepage of my profile. Apparently it is as you write. This changes the kilometers I want to do to round up to 4000 km. for the year. I will have to push myself to ride my bike in the snow outside! Thanks for the answer and happy holidays!
