Activities are showing up on the iOS app, but not website (logged in as same account)

Current iOS app v5.7.3.2 running on iPhone 15 Pro Max iOS 18.2

I am moving away from Strava for obvious reasons. I plan to use Garmin and TrailForks as primary repositories for my data.

Many of my activities that I sync with my Garmin Fenix 7x Solar are not appearing on my activity list (under "all").

I can see them on my Garmin Connect app on my iPhone. I am using the same login email address. I logged out and back in again, no change.

I need to figure out how to remedy this issue. My Trailforks activity list is also not updating.

Thanks

  • First of all, I'd try reloading the GC web page, or clearing the cache of the browser. If that alone does not help, then I would verify whether the account IDs in the app, and on the web are identical: in GC iOS app, go to Settings » App Diagnostics and compare the Profile Name with the last part of the URL address when you open your web profile (click on your avatar). If both of them are really identical, then Remove and Add a Device From the Garmin Connect App | Garmin Customer Support, record a test activity, sync, and see whether it helped.

  • Accounts are indeed the same, same login email and password. I double-checked.

I just deleted the cache and restarted the browser (current Firefox version). The issue remains. My activities are on my iPhone, but they do not show up in the browser window on Garmin or Trailforks.

I removed the Fenix from the phone and re-added it. That didn't accomplish anything (the Phone is where all the activities show up, no issue on the phone) but I did it anyway.

Same ID too? Make sure you really verified the IDs

  • The app doesn't store any activities. It can only show the activities saved at Garmin's servers. It is the same with the web.

Here is the list with all activiites in the web: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activities

Compare that with the list in the app: More > All Activities

Check that the profiles are the same. Best is to check the ids, but other ways are to make sure the profile images, badge level and points, connections lists are the same. Change the profile image in the web and make sure it is updated in the app.

  • Thanks for this. I changed my ID image on my laptop and it didn't change on the iPhone app. Upon further inspection, I found that my iPhone app connect is logged in using a mistyped email address (two letters are transposed). So now I know what the issue is.

BUT - BIGGER ISSUE HAS ARISEN

My iPhone app (the one logged in with the bad email address) is the one showing all my activities. I need to log into this account on my laptop so I can export the activities, but I have no idea what that password is, and I cannot email a new one because the email address associated with that account technically does not exist.

I guess I need to contact Garmin support for something like this. Gotta find out how to do that.

    Thanks for your help.

  • I cannot email a new one because the email address associated with that account technically does not exist.

See if you can register that mistyped email address. Then you can fix it yourself.

  • My iPhone app (the one logged in with the bad email address) is the one showing all my activities. I need to log into this account on my laptop so I can export the activities

Why? If it already got all your activities then just use that account instead. Change the email address to the correct one. You must first change to a different one in the other account.

  • I would have to register that domain name and set up email to do recover from the email address that has the transposed letters in it.

Regardless, I have contacted Garmin support directly and they helped me recover the bad email address account and I am in the process of exporting the data so I can import into the "good" garmin account with the valid email address.

So it looks like it has been solved! Thanks again for your help.
