Deleted lap in device; GC still shows mapping

I finished a hike today, hit the stop button on my 305 but didn't turn the unit off. Then I drove home.

This of course left me with TWO laps (the hike and the ride home). When I noticed this in TC, I went back to the 305 and deleted the 2nd lap.

Then I uploaded the hike to GC. On the Splits tab, GC shows only the one lap. BUT on the Google map, I see BOTH laps!

It appears that GC is reading and incorporating the deleted lap info into Google maps. That is a BUG!
  • Can you post a link to your activity? Someone may be able to repair this for you.
  • Deleting Laps after upload

Can you do that? After riding, my 405 did not turn off (but I thought I did hit stop timer). It recorded some driving which increased the MPH for the ride completely. Is there a way to delete the laps after you upload to Connect?

    Thanks.

Deleting Lap Info After Update to Web

Has anyone identified a solution to your question? Can lap information be deleted from Website after upload? This would be a nice feature to have for times when you inadverently forget to turn off after a run. Can you delete entire run from website, correct on watch, and then re-upload corrected run information?

I'd like to get an answer to this too. I did exactly the same thing with my Edge 705.

The data is correct now in the Edge (no longer includes the bogus lap), but every time I try to re-load to GC I get the extra lap.

Did this ever get resolved for you?

I am very anxious to find out how to delete the bogus lap. I too forgot to turn off the watch, and have the ride home included in my workout. And that just has to get removed. Thanks.
  • I just noticed a similar issue on 11/26/2009. I deleted a lap on my 305, uploaded to GC and noticed the following:

    1. Total time: without deleted lap
    2. Splits: does not contain deleted lap
    3. Map: does not show deleted lap
    4. Graph: displays information on deleted lap.

You can take a look at this activity: 19641907

This does not bother me per se, since it does not impact the key data. I just find it odd and agree that it is a bug. I do occasionally delete laps before I upload but never noticed this before. This must be a fairly recent bug.
