Garmin Forerunner 645 - Activities reupload to Garmin Connect after deleting

I have a second hand Garmin. I have created myself a Garmin account and want to upload my new activities when I do them. Even after factory resetting the watch activities continue to show. I have gone through all old activities from before I owned the watch and deleted one by one but still they come back. I get the notification each time a new one is uploaded and then they all show in the 'All Activities' section on the app. Why is this happening and how can it be stopped?

Did you do the master reset of the watch to factory defaults with the option "delete all data"? Plain reset without selecting the option to delete all data is not sufficient. I highly recommend doing it now. That's always the first thing to do when buying a second hand watch.

Yep I tried everything, will just have to give it all another go and see if anything happens. Thanks

If you really did the master reset with the option of deleting all data, and deleted the unwanted activities from Garmin Connect, then there is no way they could come back.. Are you sure you do not have two different accounts, and mixing them up?
