When I load the main page, on the right side it says

Firmware Update
A firmware update is available for your Garmin Forerunner 205
Your version: 2.8
Latest version: 2.9
Get Started

Thing is, I have the 305. Any reason why this is showing bad info? I've never even had a 205.

The 205 and 305 appear the same to GC, and this is why it can incorrectly identify your unit. The 2.9 software is availible for both the 305 and 205, so the message is correct aside from the unit number.
