Garmin Coach won't allow for 4 day plan

I finished a coaching plan with Jeff and I'm trying to set up a new plan to prepare for a 10k in Feb. During Jeff's plan I only ran 3 days a week and I'm wanting to increase to 4. However, when I try and set up a running plan there are no longer any expert coaches available and I am unable to select only 4 running days.

  • The coach plans got limited time span for when they can be used. The number of weeks depends on the goal you set for the plan.

For a 10k plan the event must be in 10-21 weeks.

  • If you want one of the old plans (self-guided or old Garmin Coach plans with expert human coaches), you have to use the Connect website (not the app).

    - Open https://connect.garmin.com/modern/training-plan (or sidebar > Training & Planning > Garmin Coach Plans)

    - By default you will see the new Garmin Coach Plans (Train for an Event, Achieve a Milestone, Improve Fitness, Gain Strength), which require you to select 5-7 training days per week, and are the only plans that are available in the app

    - Click on Browse All Plans to see the old plans. Now you can select one of the old Garmin Coach running plans (with expert human coach) that allows for a minimum of 3 training days per week

  • Wow! There are so many training options! Thanks so much this is super helpful. I wonder why you can't see all these training plans in the app.

  • No problem!

I wonder why you can't see all these training plans in the app.

Yeah I think they are trying to force people to use the new plans as they seemingly sunset the old plans.

I assume at some point the old plans will disappear from the website :/.
