My workout / training is not showing up on my Garmin

For some strange reason my scheduled workout is not showing on my Garmin watch. The strange part is that my workout of yesterday did show up. And since there is no option to push the training to my garmin I can't correct it there. When select the training calendar on my watch it states I should download the training calendar from Garmin connect.

I am stuck here.

Any advice?

Thanks

Ralf

  • Do you see the scheduled workout in the calendar in Garmin Connect? After sync that should put it on all compatible devices.

Is it a custom workout or is it a coach workout? Coach workouts are not in the training calendar. They are in the coach menu.

Can you send the workout to your device by clicking the "Send to device" button?

  • Thanks for your fast reply!

Yes I see the workout in the calendar. Yet, after sync is is not put on my device.

It is a custom workout for doing a Marathon at a specific pace

There is no "Send to device" option available. Not in the app and not on the garmin connect website.

And I do see the workout on my main connect app screen under "Today's Activity"

Hope this answers all questions and maybe brings some light to this matter.

  • Have you created the workout? Then you find it in the workouts list and can send it to your device.

  • Ok I have to apologize!

It is a coach workout. However it is in the calendar. I also see it when I go to the Garmin Coach segment.

Yet, it does not show up on my watch ...

  • Do you see it in the coach widget on the watch?

  • Nope!

Also checked in the widgets section and no coach option.

  • Which watch do you have? Does it support Garmin Coach?

  • I have the Marq Athlete and as far as my knowledge goes it should support the Garmin Coach part.

"Your Garmin ConnectTm account has an adaptive training plan and Garmin® coach to fit your training goals. For example, you can answer a few questions and find a plan to help you complete a 5 km race. The plan adjusts to your current level of fitness, coaching and schedule preferences, and race date. When you start a plan, the Garmin Coach widget is added to the widget loop on your MARQ® device."

Maybe I am not looking in the right place for the widget?

  • Maybe I am not looking in the right place for the widget?

Just press up and down from the watch face to view the widget loop.

  • Ok ... now it kind of becomes stranger Slight smile

    I found the widget!

Now in the widget it says that today is a recovery session.

In my Garmin Connect app it says I have a Tempo Run to do and it is also in my Garmin Calendar.

In the coach app on my phone it also states that today there is a tempo workout planned.

So I checked and it looks like a run that is planned after the coach plan is having the workout suggestions pushed on my watch while on the app, the actual plan / workout is leading.
