Incompatibility with Snow Leopard

"The current version of the Garmin Communicator Plugin is NOT compatible with Snow Leopard, due out Friday 28 August. We are currently working on a new version of the Plugin that will be compatible. We plan on getting this out in the next 2 weeks. We'll post updates as they become available."

Ok, thanks for the heads-up, but come on!

How can Garmin not have managed to test the Garmin Connect Plugin on Snow Leopard? Was it not possible for Garmin to get a pre-release version from Apple, as a lot of other developers have?

Garmin really should have handled this better.
  • I agree

I am expecting my retail version of Snow Leopard in the post today.

Beta versions have been with MOST developers for many weeks now. I suppose Apple didn't trust Garmin with a copy?

Or more likely the recent farce of an upgrade was taking most of the development team's time.

Well look on the bright side if I upgrade to SL, I shall be unable to upload to garmin connect (just for a change) for a "couple of weeks" and hence save some bandwidth for their servers!

ANT Agent has been tested and currently supports the beta version of Snow Leopard.
