Assign location

The latest update apparently allows you to automatically assign the location name based on the starting location of an activity. Any clues about how to do this would be appreciated!
  • Garmin Connect automatically assigns the location name, not the user.

Thanks. Uploads to the site are temporarily disabled but I guess when its up and running again the location field will be automatically filled?
  • I was able to upload my run last night. The location was automatically assigned.

OK, thanks.. The run I did last night (which I thought was after the update....?) just had a blank location field so I guess I'll have to wait until I can upload tonight's run when they've finished doing maintenance. Thanks again for your reply. Goodnight. zzzz
  • Just uploaded a run after they enabled uploads. No location. :(
  • No location...

I uploaded a run this morning @ 8am British Summer Time. No location was added...

Same here - uploaded a run this morning but still no location...
  • I don't even see where location is supposed to be logged? Is it in the details view of the activity?

Under Activities go to the top of any column and hover over the header row and you will see a pulldown menu appear on the right side of the column. If you click on this you will see Columns and if you click on this you can select additional fields to display (including Location).

I have just uploaded a walk on Hampstead Heath, N London

No locations are shown when I activate the location column ( they are all blank)

San Francisco is still selected by default when I go to explore.
If I select Hampstead N London I get activities around there.
Back to explore and I'm back in San Francisco

Has any one got it to work? (other than those of you who live in SF?)
