Where are the ULTIMATE walking/running/cycling badges?

As far as I can recall, last year if you complete all quarterly challenges for walking, running or cycling, you end up with Ultimate badge. Since last year I didn't pay way too much attention to these, this year I decided to give it a shot for the walking one, and aim for the running one in 2025. What was my surprise when I saw these are no more being rewarded...

Can somebody confirm if this is the case?

And why once again we encountering unannounced changes?

  • I can confirm that they are not existing at this moment. What will happen during December is up to Garmin. They have not announced anything about adding them this year.

  • Well, thats a bummer. Thanks for conformation, Andy.

It would be nice if Garmin announce such changes, rather than users finding out themselves.

  • Dear Garmin, bring back the Ultimate badges Sunglasses

  • Unfortunately, they won't even tell us whats going on, simply because the bridge between garmin and its users is way so much broken, to a point they don't even care about peoples opinion. Something like an unwritten policy - "lets screw something and then leave our users to deal with it."

  • I was looking for them too, but haven't received the walking or running badge upon completing the quarterly challenges. I hope they'll add them last minute as it would be a nice Christmas gift for those that have performed outstandingly over the year. I even went "running" once in September while being injured, just because I didn't want to lose that Ultimate badge.

  • Can confirm these badges are gone, which is a huge bummer to those of us working toward them for an entire year.

I noticed badges as a whole seemed to decline in quality from 2023 to 2024 (less holiday-specific badges, for example). Yes, I know we got Pickleball and Dancing... so they're doing something... but I just can't figure out the logic behind some of Garmin's decisions. (still only one hiking badge?)

It's disappointing to watch Connect actively get worse over time. Similar changes to the UI, performance and health calculations, etc. have negatively impacted accuracy and usability, which are way more impactful than badges... but those little surprises when an unexpected badge would pop up were awesome motivation and I miss them.
