Detail Missing from Today's Activity

I've just become an owner of a 405HR, and I have the same problem as many other people it seems.
Not only do I get "No map data found for this activity. "
Also the timing and heartrate graphs are empty.
As there is no map data it seems, I first wondered that I did not use the gps function on the watch correctly (wich is "on" ofcourse), but this seems strange as the distance I ran is correctly stated.
This problem occurred on both runs I did using the watch so far...
Clearing cache does not help...

    Beerun,

    Looks like you need to allow your device to acquire a proper satellite lock. let it acquire on a static surface for a few minutes, then press start after satellites are locked on.

    Thanks for the help KK.

    This was my first run with the 405, so there may have been some "user error" on my part. However, before beginning my run, I let the satellites acquire for a couple of minutes. I then went on a 5 mile run with no problems during the run. Got home and the ANT stick picked up the run. The only things missing are the graphs and the maps. All the data is there: time, splits, distance, pace, hr, etc. Not sure how the Pace is able to work if the sattelites are not locked. Very confusing.

  • Beerun - you're not alone. I'm having the same issue. I've done heaps and heaps of runs and rides over the past few 3-4 months all without map and graph data - so I'm sure it isn't a GPS locking problem.

    BEERUN - It looks as though you have been having success with your uploads. The activities that are a few seconds may be deleted from your account.

    CHERNOSS - I'm looking into the matter. How have you been uploading?

  • RUNKKRUN - I've used a Mac and 2 Windows computers to upload - and it's the same result. I've tried using TrainingCenter which also doesn't have any map/graph data. It really does look like my watch isn't capturing the information as though the memory is full - however, I erased everything and tested it several times.

    I bought my Forerunner 405 as soon as it was released in Australia (Sept 2008) and it has always worked perfectly until about 3-4 months ago. It's as though the erase function doesn't work anymore (even though it says it does)?

    The firmware upgrade wouldn't have anything to do with it? I'm using 2.50 software with 2.10 satellite firmware. Is there maybe a way I can perform a hard reset which will effectively clear all memory on the watch?
  • Ok I've fixed my problem - it required a "Hard Reset" - I missed NDURANCERIDER's post - doh. Thanks for everyone's help!
