Hi, i am considering buying an edge 705 and was wondering whether i can upload other users routes via garmin connect site so that i can then follow the route on my device if i were to buy one?
I've never used Garmin connect but you can use other route downloaded via a GPX or CRX from various sources (map my ride, bikehike, bikeroutetoaster, Gpesie the list is endless)
You can also share wireless other peoples courses who have a 705.
As Joejord states, there are numerous apps out there that allow you to create and share routes/courses for the 705. But yes, Garmin Connect also allows you to download courses. Motionbased also still has a very large collection of routes to choose from.
