Edge 705 latest activities wont upload

I have borrowed an Edge 705 and trying to upload one route. I've tried to upload all but this misses off the most recent few rides. I cant actually see the tcx file for the date I'm interested.

On the device the file looks fine, but can't seem to get it onto the Garmin Cnnect site - HELP please!

    Hi,

    Looking at the logs, the files you've tried to upload are GPX files. Not sure why that would be the case. Did you follow a course for the rides that won't upload?

    You can find the TCX file in the Mass Storage history (separate from lap history):

    1. Plug in your Edge 705.
    2. When the Garmin/E drive opens, click on the Garmin folder.
    3. Double click on the History folder to open.
    4. Save the desired file to your Desktop.

    Once the file is on your Desktop you can try the manual upload.

    Unfortunately there is no file in the History folder that contains the data I need (even though I can access it on screen on the 705!).

    All the files in the history folder have uploaded to G.Connect but there are others (all more recent) that have not uploaded, and do not appear in the history folder......

    Any other ideas anyone?

    I'm having exactly the same drama. The first 3 activities loaded up fine but now GC doesn't recognise the activity history that still shows on my 705. When I open the history file on the E: drive, it only then shows "laps" with a number against it. No dates no nothing. But I've done loads of rides - Why doesn't this info upload like it did when I did it for the first time. I can't believe I parted with £300 for this donkey!! :(
  • Garmin Connect is undergoing maintenance. Hold off on uploads...

    We are still making adjustments to the site. While the site has been restored, uploads have been disabled. We will finish the updates and get uploads enabled again ASAP. Thanks for your patience.

    I also have the same issues, which occurred before any updates to the site, and still occurs today.

    I have rides which I can see on the Edge 705, but do not appear when navigating the Garmin drive from the PC - I have NO history folder.

    When I try to upload from the Garmin to connect I get a "No new activities to upload" message.

    I can't be 100% sure, but I think it all started when I updated the Garmin to the latest firmware 2.8

    I attach my GarminDevice.xml if it helps.

    activities will not transfer to garmin connect

    I am having the same trouble. I have a forerunner 405 and I cannot get the last two activities to transfer. I plug in the Ant stick and it opens the website and communcicates with my watch but for whatever reason the activites will not transfer to the website, I get a message that says activities will not transfer due to server error? It has been like this for two days now.

    So I'll give an update.

    Fixed - but not happy.

    Followed many links on this site (and others) related to this (and similar) issues.

    In the end it came down to

    1 - attach 705 to PC
    2 - remove user profile and history files
    3 - unplug from PC
    4 - perform a hard reboot of the Garmin
    5 - fixed

    6 - all history from the device gone - thanks

    But at least fixed and now working - just lost a month of rides. (and yes I'm sure there was a way to backup before hand etc etc - but hindsight is a wonderful thing - if there is - then please amend by 1-5 above)

    Hi Andy,

    Just to verify, did you check the Mass Storage?:

    1. Plug in your Edge 705.
    2. When the Garmin/E drive opens, click on the Garmin folder.
    3. Double click on the History folder to open.
    4. Save the desired file(s) to your Desktop.

    If they are not there then they are lost, unfortunately.

    Fix Saved History

    I made a backup of all the files

    While copying it to my desktop I notice a error for Lap3.dat / lap3.dat and Lap4.dat, windows complained that it is corrupt.

    I just deleted that specific workout and my history is saved again.
