Metric - Statute

I`am from Norway and we are using the metric standard.

I think it`s very annoying that everytime we for example click on a link to GC, the result appear in the statute standard. The text on the site appear in norwegian. Then we have to change it manually. For visitors following a link, its difficult to se the statute/metric button in the corner.

Is it possible to link the number-system (metric/statute) to the text-language on the page, so miles or kilometers will appear automaticly?

    I am also not happy with this.

    It should be dead easy to fix this.
    When people looking at some users workouts it should be thats users choice of metric or statute that rules what visitor will see.

    I second that motion!

    I logged in and registered to also make that request: That whatever setting the user has for metric / imperial be the default setting for visitors or embedded maps!

    Metric system

    Hi

    It is important to have the metric system active when users come from countries that use metric system.

    One issue regarding the browser and metic system is:
    I search for Kopavogur on connect.garmin.com find an activity see that everything is in miles press the "view in Metric" and I'm out of my search and need to search all over again.

    Please fix this metric issue ASAP.

    Yes Garmin, please program the GC site to look for the local settings in the used browser. That way, it is alway in the right mode; km or miles.

    One year gone without any updates from Garmin

    Just noticed that this tread started Aug 17 2009 and can now celebrate one year without any news from Garmin :mad:
    Is it that difficult to support most of the European customers?

    more than 40.000 views now on that thread, and still haven't fixed it. It's a big shame.

    Is Garmin connect still not releasing new updates?

    I followed this thread and I see it started in 2009. Now it's the beginning in february 2011 and still there is nog fix for this annoying issue. It seems we (alle these GC users) don't like this and we have to find our solutions elsewhere.. (There are a couple of sites wich let you upload your workouts directly to their site.. but why should we as we are die hard Pro-Garmin users!!) A big shame because I really like to show my friends off how cool it is that Garmin publishes alle these statistics from my workout. There are a few tiny pieces of code neccesary to make Garmin Connect even more better than it is but probably the amount of cash we paid for our devices isn't enough to let the developers fix this. I'd really like to stick to GC... pleeeeaaase don't let your loyal Garmin users down.. :(. All my friends see my workouts in mph but we all prefer default in metric...

    I agree, it's disappointing to see the ignorance from Garmin in this issue apparently annoying a lot of people. It's easy to fix and there are many ways to implement it. Make it happen!

    I completely agree to my previous speakers! Please add the option to preselect the metric format!
