NOT Happy with Oregon 400t !!!!

Not sure if this is where this thread belongs...but this is where I am putting it . How about getting the Oregon SW stable where the product might be worth something. This is the worst $499 that I have ever spent!!!! I had a 60CSx before the Oregon and the 60 was a very reliable GPSr. The Oregon would be useless if it were not for the paperless caching. The compass jumps all over the place causing it to be almost impossible to locate a cache. And the closer you get to a cache, the worse it gets. No one wants to pay $500 for a device that best use it to throw at "Mad" Squirrels in the woods. I have called tech support and they were essentially useless. So now for the developers...how about getting it right and put out some SW to fix the issues that are all over the forums at Groundspeak.

    Not happy either!

I am testing the Oregon 400t of a friend of mine. Although I own a GPSMAP 60Cx myself, I recommended it to him, believing that it would be better than the 60Cx, since it's more recent.
The first thing that struck me was the illegibility of the display in daylight conditions!
Another thing is the short life of the batteries.
And now I found out that some of the tracks I put on the device can no longer be managed in the track manager. And they cannot be deleted anymore.
Is there a way to reset the device?
And what about the 4 Gb MicoSD card? I loaded City Navigator on the device, and the MicroSD card doesn't contain any data. How is that possible?
Two years ago I struggled with my 60Cx and I tried to get support, only to find out that I knew more about the device then they did! Very frustrating.
    Cheers,
    Patrick
