can't uplaod

when I switched to garmin connect I could update from my 305 forerunner-now I can't and I've downloaded the updates and connection download-any ideas-I have a mac

I have the same issue. Motionbased agent no longer works (upload seems to work, but activites don't appear in inbox) and the Garmin Connect upload just hangs saying it's reading from the device. So stuck and not very happy about it.

Device is a foretrex 201.

This migration is not very seamless from my perspective, i'd like basic features working first, like seeing my activities. Thanks

If you have an old Foretrex, we've made it clear we do not yet support that:

Migration Update

We will very soon. You will need to install the Garmin Communicator Plugin, as well as use a serial to USB converter. New computers do not have serial ports any longer.

Thanks for the reply.

Problem is Garmin Connect doesn't work yet, and the Motionbased agent has stopped working, so I am stuck.

I have been using a serial-USB converter, even my laptop (2004) doesn't have a serial port :)

I still can't upload using a Foretrex 201, a Mac and a serial converter.

I've also tried manually uploading .gpx files, but that errors too.

Any thoughts on how I resolve this and get back to being able to upload my activities ?
