Is Garmin Connect one step back compared to MotionBased?

I've used Garmin Connect for a while and I do understand that the primary focus for Garmin Connect is training. But - not all use their Garmin GPS for training. Since we're now "instructed" to change from MotionBased some important features should be included in Garmin Connect asap:

 Garmin Connect is missing the option to "save" the elevation graph since Garmin Connect is using flash
 There's no longer possible to get a larger map in a separate window

I have multiple Garmin GPS devices and uses these for tracking bicycle paths all over Norway (abroad too!). These tracks are uploaded to http://sykkel.info with a short description and a picture of the elevation. Together with the short description, the elevation figure and the Google map, everyone can plan their bicycle trip.

I hope these features can be implemented as soon as possible.

Thanks!

yes putting the features aside, MB mostly worked. GC mostly doesn. today none of the Timing / Heart Rat / Cadence / Elevation tabs are functioning.. They dont show anything, appear to not even be loading. Click on the tab and nothing happens.

Can you post a link to one of the problematic activities? Several posters have reported the same issue and that clearing browser cache has resolved the issue.

    Garmin Connect Slow and unstable

It takes forever to load the list. When I use quick edit, it many times does not save the changes. It times out, and I have to log in again. If I delete an activity, it goes to the first page of the list, not the one I entered from.

It is so bad that I an not sure I will recommend Garmin to anyone as long as GC is as bad as it is now. :(

Maybe this could be a temporary work -around:
I use a screen capture tool (screenhunter) that is free and brilliant (no auto-start/ desktop shortcuts added etc.)

    Free screen capture:

    • Capture any part of your desktop, a window or full screen with mouse pointer
    • Save captures in BMP, JPEG and GIF file
    • Hotkey from F1 to F12 and Print Screen key
    • Automatic file naming
