I Import daily activity and exercise calories into cronometer.

I can't tell if these are separate measures or if exercise calories are incorporated into daily activity calories. I've read a lot of answers to similar questions but they are way too sophisticated for me. I just want to know if I should import only my daily activity calories.

  • Daily Calories include all Calories you burned, it means Resting Calories and Active Calories as well, regardless whether they were done during an activity or not. I do not know how Cronometer works, but at MyFitnessPal, you have to enable the option "Enable Negative Adjustments" in order to prevent the double-counting of Calories form activities. There may be a similar option at Cronometer as well. Best asking on their side.

  • Thanks for taking the time to answer. I finally did find an answer in Cronometer. Turns out that Cronometer subtracts calories from exercise from the daily calorie measure. It's pretty amazing to me how sophisticated the food tracking apps can be when importing data from connecting apps.
